Shigeho Tanaka

Shigeho Tanaka(Điền trung mậu tuệ,Tanaka Shigeho,1878–1974)was a Japaneseichthyologistand professor ofzoologyat the Imperial University of Tokyo. He published numerous works on fishes and sharks and co-authored a book on Japanese fish with famous American scientistDavid Starr Jordan.

The genusTanakiaD. S. Jordan&W. F. Thompson1914was named for Tanaka, as an “accomplished” ichthyologist of the Imperial University of Tokyo, who describedTanakia shimazuiin 1908 andPseudorhodeus tanagoin 1909.[1]
