Shin-Tochigi Station(Tân 栃 mộc dịch,Shin Tochigi-eki,lit. "New Tochigi Station" )is a junctionrailway stationin the city ofTochigi,Tochigi Prefecture,Japan, operated by theprivate railwayoperatorTōbu Railway.The station is numbered "TN-12".

Shin-Tochigi Station is served by theTōbu Nikkō Line,and is also aterminal stationof theTōbu Utsunomiya Line.It is located 47.9 km from the starting point of the Tōbu Nikkō Line atTōbu-Dōbutsu-Kōenand is 24.3 km from the opposing terminus of the Tōbu Utsunomiya Line atTōbu Utsunomiya[1]

History

Shin-Tochigi Station opened on 1 April 1929.[1]

From 17 March 2012, station numbering was introduced on all Tōbu lines, with Shin-Tochigi Station becoming "TN-12".[2]

In fiscal 2019, the station was used by an average of 4163 passengers daily (boarding passengers only).[3]
