History

The community was founded in the area of ahot spring[6]by rancher Cyrus B. Mendenhall in 1882.[7]Springdale had apost officefrom 1885 until 2004.[8]

Climate

Thisclimaticregion is typified by large seasonal temperature differences, with warm to hot (and often humid) summers and cold (sometimes severely cold) winters. According to theKöppen Climate Classificationsystem, Springdale has ahumid continental climate,abbreviated "Dfb" on climate maps.[9]
