Sterling Scottis aCanadianstand-up comedian based inEdmonton,Alberta.[1]

Originally fromScarborough,Ontario,he moved to Edmonton after an unsuccessful audition to compete in the 2006MuchMusic VJ Search.[2]After briefly working in theAlberta oil sands,[2]he began his comedy career in Edmonton in the late 2000s.[3]In Edmonton he was the regular host ofThe Dating Game at Krush Ultralounge,a live comedy game show based onThe Dating Gamewhich scored him an audition to produce a television version forKevin Hart'sLaugh Out Loud Productions.[4]

He competed twice in theSan Francisco Comedy Competition,finishing in fourth place behind winnerSamuel J. Comroein 2014[5]and winning the competition in 2019.[1]He was also a third-place finalist in theSeattle International Comedy Competitionin 2014.

In 2020 he was one of the hosts of Be the Change, a digital anti-racism special produced as a response to that year'sGeorge Floyd protests.[6]

In 2021 he appeared in the first season ofRoast Battle Canada,facingBrittany Lysengin the fourth episode andAlan Shane Lewisin the sixth. He has also appeared onCBC Radio One'sThe Debaters,and has performed at comedy venues across Canada including theJust for Laughsfestival.

In 2024 he competed in thefourth seasonofCanada's Got Talent,receiving thegolden buzzerfromTrish Stratus.[7]
