Stolnaya(Стольная) is a brand ofvodkareleased by OST-Alco. The range consists of Stolnaya Special,[1]Stolnaya Red Bilberry,[2]which is made withcranberries,and Stolnaya Infusion[3]which contains extracts of honey and pepper.
OST-Alco, distributors of the Stolnaya brand, has been involved in a running dispute withSPI Group,manufacturers ofStolichnayabrand vodka, concerningtrademarkrights. SPI claims that the "Stolnaya" brand is confusingly similar to "Stolichnaya".[4]A number of jurisdictions, including theUnited Kingdom[5]have withdrawn or refused registration of the Stolnaya brand because of SPI's objections.
