Stewart Norton Silver[1](June 29, 1947 – July 18, 2023) was an American screenwriter and television writer best known for such films and television series asThrow Momma from the Train,[2]Webster,It's a Living,[3]Bosom Buddies[3]andSoap.[3]Silver also wrote the first half ofGood Morning, Vietnam.[4]

Silver died from complications of prostate cancer inRochester, New York,on July 18, 2023, at the age of 76.[5][6]
