Sylvia Margaret Hume(born 1 February 1968), also known by her married nameSylvia Sinclair,is a New Zealandswimmer.

Hume won gold in 100 mbackstrokeat the1986 Commonwealth GamesinEdinburgh,Scotland.[1]She competed intwo eventsat the1988 Summer Olympics.[2]She retired from the sport at age 22.[3]She lives inBath,England with her husband and their two sons.[3]
