Synthetic impressionism

Synthetic Impressionismis style of painting that combines the carefully observed color and expressive paint handling ofimpressionistpainters with the abstraction of space and multiple exaggerated viewpoints ofcubistpainters.[1]The forerunners of this style includeVan Gogh,Cézanne,andChaïm Soutine.[2]

Contemporary proponents of this style include the American artistsJames MichalopoulosandCharles Tersolo.
