Systemics

In the context ofsystems scienceandsystems philosophy,systemicsis an initiative to studysystems.It is an attempt at developing logical, mathematical, engineering and philosophical paradigms and frameworks in which physical, technological, biological, social,cognitiveandmetaphysicalsystems can be studied and modeled.[citation needed]

The term "systemics" was coined in the 1970s byMario Bungeand others, as an alternative paradigm for research related togeneral systems theoryand systems science.[1]
