Takudzwanashe Kaitano(born 15 June 1993) is a Zimbabweancricketer.He made his international debut for theZimbabwe cricket teamin July 2021.[1]

Career

Kaitano made hisfirst-classdebut forMid West Rhinosin the2016–17 Logan Cupon 21 February 2017.[2]He made hisList Adebut for Mid West Rhinos in the2017–18 Pro50 Championshipon 23 May 2018.[3]In December 2020, he was selected to play for theRhinosin the2020–21 Logan Cup.[4][5]

He made hisTwenty20debut on 13 April 2021, for Rhinos, in the2020–21 Zimbabwe Domestic Twenty20 Competition.[6]Later the same month, he was named as a standby player for Zimbabwe'sTestmatchesagainst Pakistan.[7]

In July 2021, Kaitano was named in Zimbabwe's Test squad for their one-off matchagainst Bangladesh.[8]He made his Test debut on 7 July 2021, for Zimbabwe againstBangladesh.[9]In the first innings, he scored 87 runs,[10]the highest score by an opener for Zimbabwe on his Test debut.[11]

In January 2022, Kaitano was named in Zimbabwe'sOne Day International(ODI) squad for their seriesagainst Sri Lanka.[12]He made his ODI debut on 16 January 2022, for Zimbabwe againstSri Lanka.[13]
