Ethnic groups
[edit]The people in the district are mainlyindigenouscitizens ofQuechuadescent.Quechuais the language which the majority of the population (58.77%) learnt to speak in childhood, 40.92% of the residents started speaking using theSpanishlanguage (2007 Peru Census).[2]
