Robert Hunter listed twice?

[edit]
Resolved
–MC website erred; they are now sourced as being the same person.

In the one-appearance section, there are both a Robert Hunter and Bobby Hunter listed, and they are probably the same person. —SMcCandlish[talk] [contrib]22:03, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, according to the mosconi cup website Bobby Hunter was in 1994 and Robert Hunter in 1995. There are no other name changes, so the liklehood in my opinion is they are indeed two differing people.Ianburnip22:24, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I remain skeptical... —SMcCandlish[talk] [contrib]00:11, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nah, the MC websites cannot even agree with each other on basic information. I would bet serious money that Robert and Bobby Hunter are the same individuals. Only one appears in WPA's top 200 male pros, and that's way more authoritative than what amounts to Matchroom Sport's barely- (and quite inaccurately-)maintained blog. —SMcCandlish[talk] [contrib]08:47, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Bobby Hunter and Robert Hunter are indeed the same person. The IPT biography for him has it detailed thus: "In the early ‘90s, Bobby was elected president of the MPBA, (the players association) and also sat on the boards of the PBT and the BCA. He was also chosen to be captain of the American team in the Mosconi Cup for the first two years of the event. Television appearances include “Eye on America” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”.

One MC site disagrees with two others on Souquet

[edit]

Two authoritative sources conflict on Souquet. Need third-party reliable sources (PBMag,IPMag,BDigest, etc.) to sort out the fact of his involvement. —SMcCandlish[talk] [contrib]08:24, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OF COURSE THEY CONFLICT ON SOUQUET, THEY ARE FROM DIFFERENT YEARS!!!!—Precedingunsignedcomment added by79.73.225.216(talk)14:18, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Match formats

[edit]

Shouldn't the page include a basic format. It states team match first but nothing after that. Also it says that Steve Davis played in it but he isn't mentioned in the list of players for Europe— Precedingunsignedcomment added by95.150.242.89(talk)22:15, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. A basic rundown of what match formats are used, how many matches of each, and in what order are significant omissions. Heck, the article doesn't even say how many players are on each team. That's all pretty basic info to omit.oknazevad(talk)01:05, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
