Tammy Ader-Greenis an Americantelevisionwriter, director, and producer. She is best known as the creator and executive producer, withWhoopi Goldberg,of the television showStrong Medicineon theLifetimenetwork. Her other production credits includeDawson's CreekandThe Wonder Years.Green received aGracie AllenAward from the Foundation of American Women in Radio and Television (now the Alliance for Women in Media) for Outstanding Producing and Best Dramatic Series (forStrong Medicine) and the SHINE Award for Best Drama (forStrong Medicine) in 2003.[citation needed]

Green began her writing career as a student atRush Medical Collegeafter attendingBrandeis Universityas an undergraduate. After leaving medical school to pursue writing full-time, she spent most of her career living and working in theLos Angeles,California area. Green is married to Dr. Gary Green, anemergency medicinephysician, and lives inBaltimore,Maryland with their son Emmet. Gary Green has been vice chair of emergency medicine atNew York University School of Medicineand an associate professor of emergency medicine andpathologyat theJohns Hopkins University.
