Tamsin Georgina Carroll(born 13 February 1979) is anAustralianactress.She is best known for her performances in musical theatre inAustraliaand theUnited Kingdom.
Personal life[edit]
Carroll was born and raised inSydney.Her parents are Australian actorPeter Carrolland Trisha, a former historian and archivist for theSydney Theatre Company.[1]
Carroll met herBritishhusband while performing in theWest Endrevival ofOliver!.[2]
Career[edit]
At the age of five, Carroll was an extra in the television western seriesFive Mile Creekwhich featured her father. She made her professional stage debut in aSydney Theatre Companyproduction ofSix Characters in Search of an Authorin 1987. Her early adult roles includedLittle Red Riding HoodinInto the Woodsopposite her father as the Narrator/Mysterious Man (Melbourne Theatre Company) and Vicki inLong Gone Lonesome Cowgirls(Railway Street Theatre, Penrith). Carroll first received wide notice as Marianne Renate in the Australian tour of theJohnny O'Keefejukebox musicalShout! The Legend of the Wild One(Kevin Jacobsen Productions) which opened in Melbourne in 2000.
Subsequent roles as Nancy inOliver!(IMG /Cameron Mackintosh,Australian tour and Singapore) andDusty SpringfieldinDusty - The Original Pop Diva(Dusty Productions, Australian tour) won Carroll multiple awards.

She played the role of Ellen in the West End revival ofMiss Saigonand Baroness Bomburst in the UK tour ofChitty Chitty Bang Bang.
In 2017 she appeared in the new musicalEverybody's Talking About Jamieat theCrucible Theatre,Sheffield.[5]She subsequently reprised the role when the show transferred to London'sWest End,playing at theApollo Theatrefrom 6 November 2017.
