Tarellawas a genus ofEarly Devonianland plant with branching axes.[2]Fossils came fromPragianage rocks (411 to 408million years ago).[3]

A cladogram published in 2004 by Crane et al. placesTarellain the core of aparaphyleticstem groupof broadly defined "zosterophylls",basal to thelycopsids(living and extinct clubmosses and relatives).[4]
