Tarellawas a genus ofEarly Devonianland plant with branching axes.^[2]Fossils came fromPragianage rocks (411 to 408million years ago).^[3]

A cladogram published in 2004 by Crane et al. placesTarellain the core of aparaphyletic stem groupof broadly defined "zosterophylls",basal to thelycopsids(living and extinct clubmosses and relatives).^[4]
