Tatar Canadiansare Canadian citizens ofTatardescent residing inCanada.According to the2011 census,there were 2,850 Canadians who claimed Tatar ancestry.[1]Most of them (1,245[2]−2,000[3]) live inToronto,Ontario.
Every year, a group of Tatar activists organizesSabantuyfestival in Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary which brings together Tatars and Bashkirs and members of otherTurkicdiasporas from all over the country.[3]
