Radio station Nga Iwi FM broadcasts for Te Patukirikiri, Marutūahu from the iwi ofNgāti Tamaterā,Ngāti Rongoū,Ngāti Whanaunga,Ngāti MaruandNgāti Pāoa,and other Hauraki residents fromNgāti Hako,Ngāti Huarere,Ngāti Hei,Ngāi Tai,Ngāti Pūkengaand Ngāti Rāhiri.[1]It was set upPaeroaon 9 March 1990 to cover local events and promote Māori language.[2][3]It expanded its reach to theCoromandel Peninsula,Hauraki GulfandHuntlyin mid-1991.[4]The station is available on92.2FMon Coromandel Peninsula,99.5FMin Paeroa, and92.4FMacross theHauraki PlainstoMirandaand Huntly.
