Tekes Countyis a county within theXinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Regionand is under the administration of theIli Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture.It contains an area of 8,067 km2.According to the 2002 census, it has a population of 150,000.
The county center is known for being aplanned communitywith a shape of aba gua.[2]
