TeleclusorTeleklos(Greek:Τήλεκλος) was the 8th Agiad dynastykingofSpartaduring the eighth century BC. He was the son of KingArchelausand grandson of KingAgesilaus I.

Pausaniasreports that Teleclus' reign saw the conquest ofAmyclae,PharisandGeranthrae,towns of thePerioecior "dwellers round about".[1]

Teleclus was killed during a skirmish with theMessaniansduring a festival at the temple ofArtemis Limnatis,[2]an event foreshadowing theFirst Messenian War.

He was succeeded by his sonAlcmenes.
