Tempur Sealy International, Inc.is an American manufacturer ofmattressesand bedding products.
The company was formed whenTempur-Pedic International,a manufacturer ofmemory foammattresses acquired its biggest competitorSealy Corporationin 2012.[2][3]It is based inLexington, Kentucky.
In May 2023 Temper Sealy sought to acquire mattress retailerMattress Firmfor a reported $4 billion. However, in July 2024 the deal was blocked by the FTC due to concerns about it's impact on competition in the space.[4]
