Sir Terence ( "Terry" ) Michael HeiserGCB(born 24 May 1932) is a former British seniorcivil servant.[1]

Heiser served asPermanent Secretaryat theDepartment of the Environmentfrom 1985 to 1992.[2]

Heiser was appointedCompanion of the Order of the Bath(CB) in the1984 New Year Honours.[3]He was promoted to Knight Commander (KCB) in the1987 Birthday Honours,[4]and to Knight Grand Cross (GCB) in the1992 New Year Honours.[5]
