Premise

The film followsMark David Chapmanthree months prior to theLennon assassinationand contains flashbacks to Chapman's earlier life and upbringing, while also exploring his infatuation withJ.D. Salinger's 1951 novelThe Catcher in the Ryeand the links between this and his motivation for the killing.
