Thomas Page (King's)

Sir Thomas Page(1613 – 8 August 1681) was an English academic.[1]

Page was born atUxendenand educated atEton College.He enteredKing's College, Cambridgein 1628, graduatingB.A.in 1632 andM.A.in 1636. He wasFellowof Kings from 1631 to 1675; andProvostfrom 1675 to his death on 8 August 1681.[1]He wasVice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridgefrom 1676 to 1677.[2] Page was also Chief Secretary toJames Butler, 1st Duke of Ormond,Lord Lieutenant of Irelandfrom 1643 to 1646.[3]He was knighted on 19 September 1675.[1]
