Tianqiao District(simplified Chinese:Thiên kiều khu;traditional Chinese:Thiên kiều khu;pinyin:Tiānqiáo Qū;lit.'sky bridge') is one of 10urban districtsof theprefecture-level cityofJinan,the capital ofShandong ProvinceinEast China,forming part of the city's urban core. It has an area of 258.71 km2(99.89 sq mi) and has 688,415 permanent residents as of 2010[update].It bordersJiyang Countyto the north,Licheng Districtto the east,Lixia Districtto the southeast,Shizhong Districtto the south,Huaiyin Districtto the southwest, as well as theprefecture-level cityofDezhouto the northwest.
