TheTorneo Promocional Amateuris a championship, corresponding to the fifth and final division of theArgentine football league systemfor clubs directly affiliated with theAFA.It is the successor of thePrimera D Metropolitana.[1]
According to the requirements of the competition, players must be under 26 years of age with no history of previous contracts signed.[2]
History
[edit]In 2023 the last edition of thePrimera Dtook place, because from 2024 on, the category will be unified with thePrimera Cin a single tournament.[3] The Primera D was replaced by the "Torneo Promocional Amateur", with 14 invited clubs. The first season takes place in 2024.
