TheTreaty of Preobrazhenskoye(or theTreaty of Preobrazhenskoe) was negotiated byJohann Patkuland signed on 22 November 1699 inPreobrazhenskoye(now a part ofMoscow), a favoured residence of thetsarPeter the Great.It followed an informal meeting of Peter and Augustus atRava(Rawa, Rava-Ruska, Rava-Ruskaya) in August 1698. The treaty called for the partition of theSwedish EmpireamongDenmark-Norway,Russia,Saxonyand thePolish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.Following the treaty, theGreat Northern Warbegan.
