Trine Randbo Jakobsen(neeJepsen)(born 29 September 1977) is aDanishsinger, actress and television presenter. Trine became known when she along withMichael TeschlwonDansk Melodi Grand Prix 1999and got to represent Denmark in theEurovision Song Contest 1999inJerusalemwith the song "Denne Gang".[1]The duo sang the English version of the song "This Time I mean It".[1]In 2001, she participated in the first season ofPopstarswhich was broadcast onTV2.

She won and got one of the spots as a member of the girl groupEyeQ,the group went on to be one of the most commercially successful groups in Denmark with 250,000 sold albums until they disbanded in 2003.[2][3]in 2005 she starred as the singer Wilma in Gladsaxe Ny Teaters rendition of the playMaratondansen,where she acted along with Dejan Čukić, Iben Hjejle and Paw Henriksen.[4]In 2006 she participated inDansk Melodi Grand Prix 2006in a duet withChristian Bachwith the song "Grib Mig".[5]In the same year she toured along withStig Rossen,where she was a guest soloist for his Christmas concert tour. In October 2006 she became a television presenter for the showQuix DirekteatTV2along with Maria Hirse and Tina Bilsbo.[6]

She hosted the 2007 season of theKanal 4dating showBonde søger brud.[7]She also played the leading role of Tante Sofie in the musicalFolk og røvere i Kardemomme by,and the lead role of Grizabella inCats.[8]In 2008 she played the characterBellein the Danish version of the musicalBeauty and the Beastand also in the playBaronessen på Benzintanken.[9]She also became a radio presenter for Skala FM for their morning show, a place she held until August 2011.[10]She again participated inDansk Melodi Grand Prix 2009with the song "I'll Never Fall in Love Again".[11]In 2010 she played the role of Ursula inDen lille Havfrueat Musikteatret in Holstebro.[12]In 2011, she participated in theABBAmusicalThe Visitorsat Musikhuset Aarhus.[13]In 2012, she had the leading role in the musicalEvitaat the Black Box Theatre inHolstebro.[14]

As of 2019, Jakobsen is director of the Schackenborg Foundation.[15][16]
