TheTulu Wikipediais theTulu languageedition ofWikipedia,run by theWikimedia Foundation.[1]It currently has 2,167 articles and it is the254th largestedition of Wikipedia by article count.[2]It is the 23rd language of India to get a Wikipedia after eight years in incubation.[3][4]

Katherine Maher,the executive director ofWikimedia Foundationannounced the launch of the Tulu Wikipedia as a full site atWikiConference India2016.[1]It was in incubation since 2008. As of August 2016, it had 200 registered editors with 10 of them being active, and over 1000 articles.[5]It was the 23rd language from India to have a Wikipedia edition.[6]By 2024, it had doubled in size, and had more than 2 100 articles.The Hindunoted in 2024 that the Tulu Wikipedia does not have any institutional support.[7]
