Uni-President Enterprises Corporation(Chinese:Thống nhất xí nghiệp công tư;pinyin:Tǒngyī Qǐyè Gōngsī;Wade–Giles:T'ung-i Chi-yeh) is an international food conglomerate based inTainan,Taiwan.It is the largest food production company in Taiwan as well as Asia,[citation needed]and has a significant market share in dairy products, foods and snacks, and beverages. Through its subsidiary companyPresident Chain Store Corporation ,it is also responsible for runningStarbucks,7-Eleven,Mister Donut,CarrefourandMujiin Taiwan. In addition, Uni-President has subsidiaries inMainland China,Vietnam,South Korea,United States,Malaysia,Thailandand thePhilippines.[1]
Furthermore, Uni-President is the owner ofUni-President Lions,a professional baseball team in Taiwan'sChinese Professional Baseball League.

In 1967, the “Uni-President Enterprise Co.” was opened inSyuejia,Tainan County.It started with the production offlourandfeed.The chairman was Wu Xiuqi, and the general manager wasKao Ching-yuen.[citation needed]
In 1969, Uni-President began preparations for the production ofinstant noodlesand cooperated withNissinMilling Technology to that end, and subsequently invested and set up factories inThailandand established dealers inHong Kong.[citation needed]
