Urgnano(Bergamasque:Örgnà) is acomune(municipality) in theProvince of Bergamoin theItalianregion ofLombardy,located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northeast ofMilanand about 11 kilometres (7 mi) south ofBergamo.As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,704 and an area of 14.0 square kilometres (5.4 sq mi).[3]
The municipality of Urgnano contains thefrazione(subdivision) Basella. Among the churches in the town areSantissima Trinitàand the parish church ofSanti Nazario e Celso.
