User:Bzuk isBill Zukin "reel" and real life. In the past, and sometimes present and future, I have been an author, filmmaker, historian, photographer and artist. Much of my life has been spent as an educator, sharing a passion for writing, history and aviation with both children and adults. Long-time Winnipeg resident, I received a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education and Masters of Education from theUniversity of Manitoba.
Working primarily as a teacher/librarian for Manitoba school divisions, I also taught Art, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies and created new libraries in three different school divisions as well as integrating a computer curriculum. I also conducted research for the Manitoba Textbook Bureau, Television Ontario, Manitoba Department of Education and Prentice-Hall of Canada. Publications include:Family Treasures Project,Story-Vineliterature enrichment program,Convention Game,Election SimulationandStudent Activity Blocks.During a two year period, I was the co-chair ofI Love to Read DaysReading Festivals in Winnipeg, public relations coordinator forCanadian Images 2/Media and Technology in Education in Canada Conference. I am also the past chair of theWinnipeg Public Library Boardand sit on the Assiniboia Library Advisory Committee in Winnipeg.
For over 30 years, I was the owner/operator ofTimeless Memories Photography,and the official photographer for theWinnipeg International Air Show.I have also written extensively for aviation magazines worldwide, and was the editor of the trade journal,Western Canada Aviation & Aerospace,and currently the editor of the History Newsreel of theCanadian Aviation Historical Society,I am also a contributor toWingsandHelicoptersmagazines.
