WikiDiscussion Manager features
[edit]Currently the features below are ready for testing (beta), all unnamed stuff is alpha
- Allows easy and informed voting onWP:AfD(more to come...WP:RfA)
- All effort will be going to WP:AfD, so that I can make this as best as humanly possible.
- Gather the number of for, oppose, comments and other page specific opinions (done, but buggy because it does not recognize "novel" ways of writing opinions).
- Counts hits on selected search engines, (currently Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask.com, and IncyWincy (Personal favorite).
- A link to the URL and the count can be easily copy-pasted, via a button in the program.
- Automatically writes an edit summary (using the first part of your submission).
- Allows quick and easy viewing of the article in question, and allows easy copy/pasting from the article to your submission, ( "as in quotations" )
- Analyses the edit counts of participants, with those below a chosen number highlighted red.
General clarification
[edit]This program is used primarily inarticles for deletion. The name of the program reflects that Articles for deletion isnota vote process, but is a primary method of findingconsensusin discussion. For more information please see the listing inwhat Wikipedia is notunderdemocracyas well as thedeletion process, andguide to deletion. You may also wish to review thelist of policiesand thelist of guidelinesbefore making a decision using WikiDiscussion Manager.
- Note – it is planned for expansion to cover more of Wikipedia's discussions. AfD was chosen as it is the largest such process on wikipedia. Others will come in time.
