I'm aroadgeek.I spent a great deal of my childhood studying maps. I can often find my way around an unfamiliar area merely by knowing something about the highway numbering system in whatever state I happen to be in, for example. I remember road numbers better than street names. My friends often think of me first whenever asking for directions. As a result of this, I help out inWP:MASH,WP:NHSH,and other projects under the jurisdiction ofWP:USRDfrom time to time.Wikipedia is a roadfan paradise!

I collect and studylicense plates(I am a member ofALPCA). I primarily collect plates from the five states where I've lived:Maryland,Virginia,Massachusetts,New Hampshire,andNew York,though I do have a 50-state and 13-province run. I typically write/edit articles about state routes here in Massachusetts. An example would beRoute 119.I also poke my fingers into theWord Association Gameon occasion.
