Ute Schell(néeStangethenWagner,born 2 April 1966) is a German rower, who competed for theSG Dynamo Potsdam/Sportvereinigung (SV) Dynamo.She has won several medals at international rowing competitions.[2][3][4]She was first coached byHerta Weissigand then Wolfgang Schell.[5]

She first competed under her maiden name Stange up until the1988 Olympics;in November 1988 she received aPatriotic Order of Meritin gold under her first married name Wagner.[6]In 1995 she married her coach Schell. She competed at the1996 Olympicsunder her second married name Schell.[5]
