Vísir.isis anIcelandiconline newspaper.It was founded in 1998 by Frjáls fjölmiðlun ehf and officially opened on 1 April the same year.[1]It originally published news from the newspapersDagblaðið Vísir,ViðskiptablaðiðandDagur.[2][3]On 1 December 2017 it was bought byFjarskipti hf.(laterSýn) along withStöð 2andBylgjanfrom365 miðlar.[4]
According toGallup,it was the second-most popular website in Iceland as of February 2021.[5]
