VB33,short forVideo Bolzano 33,is an Italian general interestregional televisionchannel serving theprovince of Bolzano.[1]Since 2017, the channel's reach has expanded to include theprovince of Trento.[2] Over the course of its history, it has also been calledVideoBolzano Canale 33andVideo 33.[1]

The channel was established in 1981 as acooperative,and purchased in 1986 byit:Valerio Rolando Boesso,co-founder and publisher of the regional newspaperAlto Adige.[1] Boesso integrated the channel into the newItalia 9 Network,of which he became the chairman in 1998, remaining in function until his death in 2008.[3]
Journalist turned politicianLilli Gruberwas one of the channel's on-air personalities early in her career.[1]

Shortly before his death, Boesso sold VB33 toBolzano-based investment fund Euregio Finance, who operated it under the corporate banner Rosengarten S.R.L.[4]

The new investors launched aGerman-languagesister channel, calledSüdtirol Digital Fernsehen(SDF), in 2009.[4]

In 2020, VB33 was sold toCremona-based media company Telecolor.[5]
