It contains the following species, all native to islands in thePacific Ocean(Fiji,Vanuatu,Tongaand theSolomon Islands):[1]

From 1957 to 2008, theAdonidiagenus had been merged intoVeitchiauntil being returned to its original status as a separate genus. This is the origin of theVeitchia merrilliiname.[4]
