Vetle Vinje(born 14 March 1962) is aNorwegiancompetitionrowerand Olympic medalist.

He competed in themen's coxed pairevent at the1984 Summer Olympics.[1]He received a silver medal inquadruple scullsat the1988 Summer OlympicsinSeoul,together withAlf Hansen,Rolf Thorsen,andLars Bjønness.[2]Vinje received a silver medal inquadruple scullsin the 1987 world championships, with the same team.

He represented the clubBærum RK.He is a son ofFinn-Erik Vinjeand is married to politicianKristin Vinje.

Vinje has acand.scient.degree from 1989 and adr.scient.degree from 1999, both in geophysics, from theUniversity of Oslo.[3]
