Vichten(Luxembourgish:Viichten[ˈfiːɕtən]) is acommuneand small town in centralLuxembourg,in thecanton of Redange.
As of 2024[update],the town of Vichten, which lies in the west of the commune, has a population of 1,243.[1]Other towns within the commune includeMichelbouch.
The town is notable as the site of a largeRoman villacontaining a large and well-preservedmosaic.The mosaic itself is on display at theNational Museum of History and ArtinLuxembourg City.A replica can be seen in Vichten itself.
