Vidrga(pronounced[ˈʋiːdəɾɡa];in older sources alsoViderga[2]) is a small settlement in theMunicipality of Zagorje ob Saviin centralSlovenia.It lies north ofVačeon the main road fromMoravčetoIzlake.The area is part of the traditional region ofUpper Carniola.It is now included with the rest of the municipality in theCentral Sava Statistical Region.[3]
Name
[edit]The nameVidrgais believed to be derived from a pre-Slavic hydronym etymologically related toIdrijawith aprothetic-v.[4]
History
[edit]Vidrga was a hamlet ofKandršeuntil 1998, when it was separated from it and made a separate village.[5]
