Subramanyam Noharathalingam(Tamil:சுப்பிரமணியம் நோகராதலிங்கம்,romanized:Cuppiramaṇiyam Nōkarātaliṅkam;born 7 June 1963), commonly known asVino Noharathalingam,is aSri Lankan Tamilpolitician andMember of Parliament.[1]
Early life
[edit]Noharathalingam was born on 7 June 1963.[1]
Career
[edit]Noharathalingam contested the2000 parliamentary electionas one of theTamil Eelam Liberation Organization(TELO)'s candidates inVanni Districtand was elected to theParliament.[2]On 20 October 2001 theAll Ceylon Tamil Congress,Eelam People's Revolutionary Liberation Front,TELO andTamil United Liberation Frontformed theTamil National Alliance(TNA).[3][4]Noharathalingam contested the2001 parliamentary electionas one of the TNA's candidates in Vanni District but failed to get re-elected.[5][6][7]
Noharathalingam contested the2004 parliamentary electionas one of the TNA's candidates in Vanni District and was re-elected to Parliament.[8]He was re-elected at the2010 parliamentary election.[9][10]He contested the2015 parliamentary electionas one of the TNA's candidates in Vanni District but failed to get elected after coming 6th amongst the TNA candidates.[11][12][13]
Noharathalingam contested the2020 parliamentary electionas a TNA candidate in Vanni District and was re-elected to Parliament.[14][15][16]
