Vladislav Vladimirovich Vorotnikov(Russian:Владислав Владимирович Воротниковborn on August 17, 1947, inLeningrad) is a Soviet and Russian chess player (grandmasterin 2005).[1]

As part of the Leningrad team, he participated in 3 USSR championships between the teams of the union republics (1975, 1979 and 1981) in which he won a bronze medal in the team (1975) and a silver medal in the individual standings (1979, played on the reserve board).[2]

He was a participant of several championships inLeningrad(in 1979) andMoscow(in 1996 - shared 1st place withAlexander LastinandYuri Balashov); international tournaments inLeipzigandTurku(in 1979 - 1st); Leipzig (in 1982) and Kislovodsk (1st place).[3]

He was the quarterfinalist of theEuropean Chess Clubs Cup(1991/1992) as part ofTigran Petrosian's club.[citation needed]
