Voom HDwas a television channel providinghigh-definitionprogramming from various genres. The network was available in 35 countries in Europe and Asia.

Programming was taken from the various stations owned byVoom HD Networksin the United States and includesFull Frontal Fashion,Earth DiariesandGamespotting.

A deal between Rainbow Networks and the Stockholm-based companyNonStop Televisionwas made in 2006 that allowed NonStop to distribute the channel inScandinavia,Finland,Icelandand theBaltic states.[1]The channel was launched in Sweden by satellite distributorCanal Digitalon November 1.[2]This was soon followed by launched in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia and Latvia on various providers.[3]The channel was managed by Scandinavian television broadcasterNonStop Television,part ofTurner Broadcasting.

In much of the rest ofEurope,Africa,theMiddle Eastand parts ofAsiathe channel was represented byZonemedia.[4]In April 2007, they launched the channel in the Arab World via theOrbitplatform.[5]

Voom HD closed down in Europe on August 31, 2009.[6]In many countries it was replaced byRush HD.This was the case on the Canal Digital platform,[7]UPC Austria[8]and in the Czech Republic.[9]
