The station began broadcasting September 14, 1970, and held the call signWBTO-FM.[1][2]It was owned by Linton Broadcasting Company and aired aneasy listeningformat.[1][2]The station originally broadcast at 93.5 MHz.[1][2]

WQTY

In 1980, the station's call sign was changed to WQTY.[2]Initially airing amiddle of the road (MOR)format,[4]by 1983 the station was airing acontemporary hitsformat,[5]and by 1985 it had adopted acountry musicformat.[6][7]By the early 1990s, the station had begun airing anadult standardsformat.[8]It switched to anadult contemporaryformat in 1996, but in 1997 returned to an adult standards format, affiliated withMusic of Your Life.[9][10][11][12]

In 1999, the station was sold to The Original Company, along with AM 1600WBTO,for $350,000.[13]In 2003, the station began airing a country format, simulcasting 106.9WWBL.[14][15]The station adopted anoldiesformat in 2006.[16]In January 2020, the station's format was changed fromclassic hitsto Christian contemporary music.[17][18]
