Wandile Sihlobo

Wandile Sihlobo(born 16 October 1990) is a South African Author and Agricultural Economist.[1][2]He currently serves as the Chief Economist of the Agricultural Business Chamber of South Africa.[3][4][5]

Early life and career[edit]

Sihlobo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from theUniversity of Fort Hareand a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics fromStellenbosch University.[6][7][8]

In 2019, he was selected as a member of PresidentCyril Ramaphosa’sPresidential Economic Advisory Council, with a re-appointment in 2022.[9]Prior to this, Sihlobo served on the Presidential Expert Advisory Panel on Land Reform and Agriculture from 2018.[10]

Sihlobo also holds the position of Chairman of the Agribusiness Working Group of the BRICS Business Council (South Africa).[11][12]
