Waropenis anAustronesian languagespoken at the Geelvink Bay ofIndonesian Papua.It is fairly closely related to theYapen languages. Dialects are Waropen Kai, Napan, and Ambumi.

Distribution

InPapua province,it is spoken inMamberamo Raya RegencyandWaropen Regency.The Ambumi dialect also called Waruri is spoken in Ambumi village inWondama Bay Regency,West Papua.[4]Waropen is also spoken southwest to the Rombak River mouth.
