From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Westereenderskis a local variety ofWood Frisianand is spoken inDe Westereen,ZwagerboschandTwijzelerheide. The most remarkable feature is the use ofee/eː/where Wood Frisian and most otherWest Frisiandialects useeiorij/ai/.

This sound change from/ai/and sometimes/ɪ/to/eː/brings us some striking similarities withEnglishin spoken or written texts as most differences to standard West Frisian also concern differences to English.
