Wien Modernis a modern music festival inVienna,Austriathat was founded byClaudio Abbadoin 1988.^[1]It was created with the intent of revitalizing the traditional music scene of Vienna.^[2]Friedrich Cerha,Johannes Maria Staud,Mark Andre,Wolfgang Mitterer,Olga Neuwirth,Peter Eötvös,Roger WoodwardandGeorg Friedrich Haashave been featured at the festival since its inception.^[2]
