This is a notice to let you know aboutArticle alerts,afully-automatedsubscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are enteringArticles for deletion,Requests for comment,Peer reviewand other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be foundhere.
If you are already subscribed toArticle Alerts,it is now easier toreport bugsandrequest new features.We are also in the process of implementing a"news system",which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use thedisplay=noneparameter, but forget togive a linkto their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left atWikipedia talk:Article alerts.

Starting this July, we will see a new contest on the scene - the Developing Countries WikiContest (WP:DCWC)! Think of it as aWikiCupbut only for articles and media on developing countries.
Competitors may submitGAs,GTs,FAs,FTs,FLs,FPs,andDYKandITNentries from/on developing countries to gain points and proceed to further rounds. Points are also awarded to those who review GAs, FAs and FLs.
Greenlandis listed as a developing country for the purposes of this contest, so articles related to it are eligible to be submitted for points. I encourage everyone here to sign up and compete with editors from around the world to create high-quality content!
