Woodrow Green, Jr.(born June 20, 1951) is an American former professionalfootballplayer who was arunning backfor theKansas City Chiefsof theNational Football League(NFL). Green was selected by the Chiefs in the first round of the1974 NFL draft.[1]Playingcollege footballfor theArizona State Sun Devils,he set many rushing records and was a first-team APAll-American.Green appeared on the front cover of theSports IllustratedNovember 18, 1974 issue. His NFL career was shortened because of multiple knee injuries/surgeries.[2]
